First Entry

Here I go...

Here's my first blog entry! I am excited to be blogging for the first time but I also feel slightly guilty because I really should be writing an essay on nuclear power for chemistry. But I am in high school and I am doing what high schoolers do best... procrastinate!

So let's start this thing off with a little getting to know each other Sound of Music style, sharing a few of my favorite things:

1. 1. This font. I am really enjoying typing with this font. Which font I'm using definitely changes how I feel about what I'm writing.


2. I'm not going to lie on my first blog because the first thing that came to my mind is butter. I love butter. I made the mistake of confessing this to my advisory group one day when we were playing a get-to-know-each-other game. Just a heads up: No juniors with the last name of C through D like butter as much as I do.


3. The sun! After 17 winters I believe that I have Seasonal Affective Disorder. May it be a mild case, winter sucks. Now don't get me wrong, there are plenty of wonderful things about winter. Skiing, hot chocolate, snow, snow days, warm pajamas, ice skating, fire places, Christmas. But the inner reptile in me is truly happiest when I can feel the sun rays goldening my skin. And yes, goldening is a word.


4. Dogs. Dogs are awesome! They are loyal and smart and love you no matter what. Isn't that what everyone wants? Unconditional love? Plus they do tricks. Cats are too dumb to do tricks. Except one may argue that cats are so smart that they choose not to do tricks. But where's the fun in that? You could have a smart cat that does nothing or a slightly dumber dog that does tricks. I'll take the dog :)


5. Classical guitar music on Pandora. I think that may fall under the category of being a nerd but that's okay with me so that can go on this list too.

Maybe that's enough for now. I'll try to blog some more soon, thanks for reading! I may be corny but I want to keep this thing authentic. Peace
